Privacy Policy

Tempo is a speed-reading app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. We built Tempo to keep your reading private. We do not run our own servers for your content, we do not sell your data, and we do not use advertising or third-party tracking. This policy explains what limited data is involved and how it is handled.

What we process

• Account (Sign in with Apple). If you sign in, Apple gives the app a stable identifier, and your name and email only if you choose to share them. This is stored on your device to keep you signed in. You can use Tempo without an account ("Continue without an account").
• Your reading content. Documents you paste, type, or import (PDF, EPUB, text), plus reading progress, highlights, and statistics, are stored on your device and in your own private iCloud account (Apple CloudKit). This data is yours — it is not transmitted to us and we cannot read it.
• Subscriptions. Tempo Pro is sold as an in-app subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple, and managed for us by RevenueCat, which receives a pseudonymous app-user ID and purchase/transaction and basic device information to validate and restore your subscription. It does not receive your reading content.
• Analytics & tracking. None. Tempo contains no advertising SDKs, pixels, or third-party analytics, and does not track you across apps or websites.

How it is used

Solely to provide the app: to present your reading, sync your library and progress across your own Apple devices, keep you signed in, and manage your subscription. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling, and we never sell it.

Service providers

We rely on Apple (App Store, Sign in with Apple, and iCloud/CloudKit storage in your own account) and RevenueCat (subscription management). These providers may process data on servers outside your country, including the United States, under appropriate legal safeguards. See Apple's Privacy Policy and RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

Retention

Your content stays until you remove it — delete a document in the app, sign out, delete the app, or remove Tempo's data from iCloud (Settings → your name → iCloud). Subscription records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat as required for billing and restore.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and Turkey's KVKK you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data, and you may object to or restrict certain processing. Because your reading data lives in your own device and iCloud, you control it directly; for account or subscription data, contact us using the details below and we will respond.

Children

Tempo is rated 4+ and is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves; we will revise the date above and, for significant changes, note them in the app or on this page.
